Our client is a Sydney based VFX studio working on an incredible range of projects from international tentpole feature film through to locally developed content. They’re looking for a highly organised, VFX Production Manager to manage the operational requirements of the VFX workflow. If this is you, you will ensure VFX projects are completed successfully, achieving or exceeding the clients’ expectations. You will oversee the tracking of all project deliverables and ensure that the achievement of established targets and milestones are met. This position will liaise with clients, answer their enquiries and relay messages between clients, production and team members.
You’ll need great project management skills and strong initiative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
/ Establish and continue relationships with clients at the highest standard
/ Organise relevant literature and showreels for prospective clients with the relevant VFX Supervisor
/ Schedule work into the studio along with assignments of crew
/ Produce a weekly report on each project’s operating margin
/ Monitor project expenditure against budget
/ Quote, schedule and set up projects in relevant software
/ Read, break down and help quote new opportunity projects in conjunction with your Producer and Supervisors
/ Project Management from confirmation to delivery
/ Assisting Producers with tasks as required
/ Crewing & In House staff bookings – Be across freelancer’s contacts, rates and contracts
/ Manage, maintain and establish crew and emerging industry talent
/ Scheduling, prioritising and tracking internal assignments.
/ Organise dailies, rounds and project meetings.
/ Organise and set up media for client review sessions in conjunction with other Production members
/ Ensure Shotgrid statuses, schedules and task assignments are kept up to date.
/ Coordinate and package shot deliveries, including submission documentation.
/ Ensure teams are clear on daily delivery objectives and time logs reflect usage.
/ Record all shot notes from clients, dailies, rounds or Video Conference sessions.
/ Ensuring effective communication and continual team updates.
/ Managing and monitoring multiple projects effectively.
/ Ensuring project scope, status and completion information are updated in Shotgrid.
/ Documenting decisions and requests and ensuring items are tracked and managed appropriately.
/ Keeping company and department centric documentation up to date for all team members
/ Monitoring and controlling progress, issues and preparing reports.
/ Ensuring work is being approved and completed on time and to specification.
/ Establishing quality control and project closure processes.
/ Ensure the VFX floor and Production office is clean, neat and tidy at all times.
/ Additional functions or requirements as deemed appropriate by management
